New Zealand is an extraordinary location for airborne sightseeing tours, because it’s one of those rare places on earth where you have multiple biomes within an area that can be explored in a day’s journey by plane: From fantastic, expansive beaches to sprawling, lush green meadows and wild, mystical ancient forests, or epic mountain panoramas – it’s all there to view and enjoy.
New Zealand is also closely tied to the legendary Lord Of The Rings movies. Several locations in New Zealand served as the main stage for scenes in the LOTR films – Rohan, the Shire, Lothlorien, Fangorn et al: NZ is visible everywhere in the cinematic backgrounds. And we are actually able to explore many of these places in MSFS – and even recognize some of them if you’re familiar with the movies.
This tour is dedicated to these awesome locations – it’s a roundtrip all over NZ, exploring many of the areas which have played a role in the movies.
